The majority of glass that I use is quite opaque so that the contents of the cupboard are not visible when the doors are closed. However I can complete projects with translucent glass too, or a mixture; the choice is yours. Glass can look very different when lit from behind and again the opacity of the glass can have a bearing on this. Cupboards can easily be lit from within. Here are some examples:
This is the same piece – ‘Roger the Ram’ lit from behind and not – Sunrise and Sunset???
‘Ahmed the Arab’ is made from opaque glass which looks quite different from behind. He has gone to a home to guard the front door so he can be admired from bothangles. I have a number of horse patterns that can be done in different colours or with facial designs to match your favourite equine friend perhaps??? The background glass can be adapted to fit the decor of your home or to your own personal choice. The image on the left is the front & the rear is on the right.
